Rata Social Services NPC is a registered NPO and CPO with a Christian ethos.  Our main focus is the protection of children against all forms of abuse through prevention and early intervention, as well as statutory services.

The NPO also implements community development projects in vulnerable communities. The Organization has 13 offices in 4 provinces (Gauteng, Limpopo, Northwest and Mpumalanga). Rata Social Services personnel corps consists of qualified program managers, social workers, social auxiliary workers and administrative personnel.

Requirements:

Ethical and passionate about upholding the values of the organization.

  • Applicable BA (Social work) Degree
  • Minimum six years statutory experience
  • Registered with the SACSSP as Social Worker
  • SAPD clearance and NRSO screening
  • Preferable: Two years’ managerial and administrative experience within the CPO and NPO sector
  • Up to date knowledge of NPO sector and relevant legislation
  • Strong communication skills in English and one other language
  • Computer skills: Microsoft office and typing intermediate level
  • Researching, report writing, networking, influencing and organizational skills
  • Valid drivers’ license
  • Willing to travel to offices and work extended hours when necessary

 

Outputs:

  • Supervise and oversee social work services rendered
  • Ensure quality service delivery
  • Canalisation of statutory reports
  • Oversee compiling and submission of business plans and reports
  • Timeous and professional interaction, negotiation and networking with various stakeholders
  • Develop and oversee fundraising initiatives and stakeholder communication
  • Guidance with professional social work services
  • Support financial, organizational and management processes
  • Ensure statutory compliance
  • Ensure optimal personnel management and development
