RATA Social Services NPC Witbank Office together with the NHKA congregations started a new project to help people in need. Each Congregation in town is scheduled to prepare soup and bread. We will serve the soup every Friday between 11:00 and 13:00 at RATA Social Services NPC Witbank Office. This project is established to help the people who live on the street in our community. Despite the hotter weather, we served a cup of soup and two slices of bread to a hundred and thirty people with our first soup kitchen on the 16th of August.

Ultimately we rely on donations from the community to help us with the sustainability of this project, and always need some volunteers to come and help us to reach out to the community. If you don’t have the time to help with the soup kitchen and want to contribute to this project, you can donate the value of a bread or soup ingredient. For more information on how you can get involved please contact Rene Erasmus at the RATA Social Services NPC Witbank Office on 013 656 1755 or witbank@rata.org.za
