” Thank you so much, I am full now, but I wish this can keep me full untill next week”

Most of us won’t eat soup and bread in this hot summer weather that we are currently experience, but for those who have to survive on the minimal, soup and bread becomes a meal. Our Soup kitchen is already running for two months, and with the help of all the NHKA congregations in Witbank we can provide for 100-130 people a cup of soup and two slices of bread, every Friday at 11:00. With the relations that we build with the people, the soup kitchen has become more than just soup and bread. It has become a symbol of how one should treat and care for people. No matter who they are.

The people are now used to the time and they were already waiting outside of Rata Witbank’s office on the morning of 25 October. On request and through our relations that we build with the community, we will also share short scripture readings together with the soup and bread. We aim to share the love that we recieve with the community, no matter who you are or where you come from.
